In celebration of this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, themed “The Girl I Am, the Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontline of Crisis,” Ayo Ogundele Support proudly partnered with the Girl Child I Subscribe Project, pioneered by Joy Life Alegbemi, to honor and uplift the voices of girls who are leading change even in challenging times.
The event gathered young girls from some schools in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, members of the diplomatic community which includes: Sweden, France and Mali Embassies, Government Agencies, community leaders, educators, and advocates to spotlight the resilience, strength, and leadership of girls in building a better world.
Through its heartfelt support, Ayo Ogundele Support Foundation reaffirmed its mission of extending hope, love, and care to the poor, vulnerable, and less privileged in society.
Guided by its core values of integrity, excellence, love, compassion, empathy, hope, and accountability, the organization played a key role in the success of the celebration. From inspirational talks to interactive mentoring sessions, the atmosphere was filled with encouragement and empowerment.
The program reminded every girl that she is not just a beneficiary of change but a driver of it — strong, capable, and valuable. Many left the event inspired to embrace their unique identity and to become courageous leaders in their communities.
